Kyla is a Client Service Specialist at East Orlando Animal Hospital.
Kyla
Kyla grew up in Davie, Florida, and moved to Orlando in July 2023. She joined East Orlando Animal Hospital in August 2024, bringing her lifelong passion for animals and a rich background in animal care. Growing up, she was surrounded by big dogs, and her love for animals was shaped by her mother, who worked in veterinary medicine, and her aunt, who ran a nonprofit dog and cat rescue where Kyla helped for as long as she can remember.
Kyla is currently pursuing her master’s degree in zoology and wildlife ecology, with dreams of becoming a professor like her mother, as well as contributing to research and conservation efforts.
Her home is filled with a “zoo” of rescued pets, including Meeko, a Lynx Point Siamese she found in a parking lot; Kiara, a brown tabby she fostered and couldn’t part with; Meilin, an orange and white tabby found in a barn; Binx, a black cat rescued from neglect in her backyard; and Cooper, a Maltese dog she adopted.
Outside of work, Kyla loves to draw, play video games, sew, and watch nature and space documentaries. She shares her life with her wonderful girlfriend and their many beloved pets.
